We are so excited to be able to announce that we will soon be adding another paint line! Don’t get us wrong, we still are in love with Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint and have strong loyalties to it but we have been playing around with the idea of adding another paint line to serve customers who like a more consistent, predictable look. We looked into chalk paint companies and experimented with different brands but still weren’t sold on any of them. While discussing the possibilities we were contacted by Homestead House , the parent company of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk paint about a new paint line they were coming out with and were offering to Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint retailers. We purchased the starter kit, tried it out and fell in love. We love the colors, the ease, and we love that we can continue to work with Homestead House and get the wonderful support they offer their retailers. It was a win, win and we are so happy that we will be able to introduce it to you at our next sale.
Fusion is a mineral based furniture paint that uses 100% acrylic resin as its binder. This is NOT like the many, many other furniture paints that have been put on the market in recent years. Fusion is completely different and will adhere to virtually any surface, usually with very little prep and will get you from start to finish with one product.
Fusion has a similar consistency to regular, latex paint and goes on much the same but with NO PREP! We are always skeptical when people say that paint will stick to anything, even our precious Milk Paint meets its match every once in a while but honestly, this has got to be the most durable paint that we have used. It’s also nice because it is a paint that gets you from start to finish meaning, no need to wax or poly!
It comes in great colors too. We have narrowed our stock down to our 12 favorite to start with. It also has a line of extras including Ultra Grip- which is amazing if you have a tricky piece, and a wonderful top coat that can be used if the piece will get a lot of wear and use. It also has Color Blocker which is great for tricky pieces that like to bleed through paint.
Here is a peek at some of the colors that we chose to start with….
We are busy preparing for Junk Bonanza and are hoping to see some familiar faces. The map is out now and we are in the side building.
